This page is Under Construction: Keep an Eye on this page for an Introduction to our Baronial Marshal of Fence. Rapier combat/period fencing is another of the martial arts practiced in the SCA. Each kingdom's rules and fencing styles are different although they all must meet the SCA minimum requirements for fencing. In the MidRealm we practice the courtly art of defense while displaying our skills before the Crown. For more information of the rules of MidRealm fencing click here. The Barony of the Flame has a strong reputation in rapier combat. Practices are held at Russell Doughtery Hall at UL's Belknap campus. Practices are on Tuesday nights from 7:30 - 9pm, as well as the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 2pm.. Instruction and loaner equipment are available.
